Sara Ramirez

Sara Ramirez, a Mexican-American singer and actress is very famous. When she was a kid Sara was targeted for racial discrimination by American citizens of all races. She began to gain confidence at the age of nineteen when she entered a school audition. She was praised for her singing. It not only increased her confidence but her dreams transformed. When she was 22, she graduated the Julliard School of New York. She started her professional journey when she was 23 years old, appearing in Paul Simon's The Capeman on Broadway and You've Got Mail in film. Her biggest break came with her performance as The Lady of The Lake in the original Broadway version of Spamalot. She was awarded the Tony Award and received great reviews for her role. In the year following, she was cast in the ABC program Grey's Anatomy as Dr. Callie Torres and gained wider recognition for it. As a well-known singer, she released her own single and an extended show. Also, she's an activist and fights for LGBT rights.

Perry was born in Chicago to the actors Laurie Metcalf and Jeff Perry. Her first appearances were on television as Jackie Harris, a character played by her mother in the ABC show Roseanne. However, her parents did not allow her to play until she was an adult because of the negative effects that stress could have on their daughter. Perry admits that she was not at ease in the stage during high school however, she began to perform as an opportunity to make new individuals during her time at Northwestern University after switching from Boston University.
