Hayley Orrantia is an American actress, singer and song writer. Most people recognise the character as Erica Goldberg in the comedy TV series 'The Goldbergs'. However, she considers herself to be primarily an artist. Music, according her, is the very first thing she is passionate about. She began playing with it when she was nine years old. After she turned 12 years old, music was taken seriously enough, that she started professional training. She ventured into songwriting at 13 and was only 14 when she recorded her debut album of covers songs. From that point on, there's been never a moment to rest. Orrantia was born in America, has Hispanic roots. Though she grew up speaking exclusively English and was never in Mexico she's very satisfied with her Hispanic roots. In her pursuit of learning Spanish and writing songs, she tries to keep the culture alive. One such song is 'Hasta Verte,' which she recorded in Spanish. Orrantia auditioned for The X Factor in 2011. Orrantia auditioned, and was chosen through YouTube videos and got four "yeses," from judges at Seattle at the time of live auditions. Her initial audition was an individual performer. However, in the course of "Hollywood Week" the three female performers were placed in groups to take part in the auditions. They were eliminated in the fifth week in the live show.
