The tall and athletic Catherine Bell was born in London, England, but she moved into Los Angeles with her mother as an infant. Aspiring to pursue a degree in pre-med at college, she decided to pursue a modeling career in Japan. She was in L.A., after doing some TV commercials and small film roles, she also made guest-starring appearances on TV series. She was Isabella Rosellini's nude body-double in the film The Death of Her in 1992. This led her to meet her future spouse (Adam Deason) on the film's set. Her curiosity was ignited by an appearance on a minor guest show in JAG, the NBC drama JAG.
